Jackson TN Pride Fund Awards $7,500 in Scholarships

Jackson TN Pride awarded $7,500.00 in scholarships at its 2025 Scholarship Presentation Ceremony on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 4:00 pm at the Community Foundation of West Tennessee.

The event honored the recipients of the 2025 Jackson TN Pride Scholarship Program. This year, a total of $7,500.00 in scholarships was awarded to outstanding local students who have demonstrated leadership, community involvement, and a commitment to furthering their education.

2025 Jackson TN Pride Scholarship Recipient are:

  • Promise Porter, Austin Peay State University, $1,500.00
  • Mendy Pettigrew, University of Tennessee Martin, $1,500.00
  • Berkley Roberts, McMurry University, $2,000.00
  • Brynlee Merriweather, Jackson State Community College, $2,500.00
“This scholarship program is one of the many ways Jackson TN Pride continues to support and uplift future leaders in our community,” said Heath Williams, fund representative for the Jackson TN Pride Fund. “We are excited to recognize these deserving students and their incredible achievements.”
