After a season of dedication, innovation, and teamwork, Jackson Area Robotics, Team 2775V, has been crowned the VEX Robotics High School World Champions.

This monumental victory took place in early May 2025 at the highly competitive VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas. The scale of this global event is astounding, with over 20,000 teams participating worldwide across all grade levels. Within the high school division alone, over 9,400 teams embarked on this challenging journey. Earning an invitation to the World Championship is a significant accomplishment in itself, with less than 10% of high school teams qualifying for this prestigious event. The competition was truly international, with over 60 nations represented, showcasing the brightest young minds in robotics from around the globe.

Jackson Area Robotics (2775V) earned their place on this global stage by demonstrating exceptional skill and perseverance throughout the season, culminating in their victory at the Tennessee State Championship. This win secured their invitation to the World Championship.

In Dallas, Team 2775V continued their remarkable performance. They not only navigated the intense divisional rounds, comprising 83 highly skilled teams, but they emerged victorious, claiming the top spot in their division and earning a coveted place in the Finals held in the iconic Championship Dome.

The atmosphere in the Dome was electric as the top teams battled for the ultimate title. In a thrilling come-from-behind victory, Jackson Area Robotics, in alliance with their exceptional partners from Piedmont, CA, Double Play (Team 80001B), showcased incredible strategy and execution to win the entire High School World Championship.

This victory is not just a win for Team 2775V but a historic moment for our state. Jackson Area Robotics is the only team from Tennessee to have ever won the World Championship title at any grade level in the history of VEX Robotics. This groundbreaking achievement underscores the talent and dedication present within our local robotics community.

Adding to their remarkable journey, this marks the third consecutive year that Jackson Area Robotics has reached the Championship Dome. This is an extraordinary feat, considering that only 0.024% of teams that attend the High School World Championship ever make it to this final stage. Their consistent excellence speaks volumes about their program's strength, the students' commitment, and the unwavering support of their mentors and community.

Congratulations to the students, mentors, and everyone involved with Jackson Area Robotics!
