The Community Foundation of West Tennessee has closed the books on the 2024-2025 fiscal year, but we are still celebrating the impact made over the past 12 months. We are proud to showcase our growth, expanded support, and investments in the community.

Year in Review

Our work in the community was made possible by the generosity of our donors. Thank you for helping us continue to make an impact in West Tennessee.

  • Contributions: We received $4,090,568 in contributions.
  • Community Investment: We invested a total of $3,725,804 in the community.
  • Nonprofit Support: $3,157,778 was distributed to nonprofits.
  • Scholarships: We awarded $265,728 in scholarships.
  • Individual Assistance: We provided $188,748 in individual assistance. A portion of this included $47,215 paid towards utility bills for 165 individuals in need.

Expanding the Impact

Our grant programs continued to grow over the past year. Between our two grant cycles, we received over 70 proposals from nonprofits with more than $500,000 in funding requests.

  • Community Impact Grants: In 2024-2025, we opened eligibility for our annual Community Impact Grants to include all 20 counties we serve across West Tennessee. Eight nonprofits received funding, resulting in a $75,000 impact.
  • 100 Women Who Care: In March, over 70 women gathered to award $17,000 to local nonprofits. This program highlights women in philanthropy and their role in giving back to our community.

RIFA was awarded a $10,000 grant to support its Snack Backpack Ministry. Funding from the Community Impact Grant provided 45 students with meals over the weekend for the entire school year.

100 Women Who Care is member driven. Women from across West Tennessee donate annually to award grants and get to vote for the organizations they would like to see funded during our member luncheon in March.

Celebrating 40 Years of Impact

In March 2025, the Community Foundation kicked off a year-long celebration to commemorate our 40th anniversary. We hosted donors, board members, and community members to reflect on the last four decades and the incredible impact we have made together.

  • $116 million received in contributions from donors since 1994
  • $78 million invested in the community since 1985
  • $456,000 in Community Impact Grants since 2016

For 40 years, we have loved our community, and we look forward to next chapter as we continue to strengthen the health and well-being of West Tennessee.

Stay tuned for our 2024-2025 annual report, which will be published soon. It features more stories and highlights from the past year. Connect with us on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with what's new at the Community Foundation @CommunityFoundationWestTN.
