The Foundation Establishes Henderson County Chapter

The West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation is proud to announce its ninth chapter in West Tennessee. The Henderson County Foundation ,a chapter of The Foundation, selected its founding board members and hosted its first meeting in April.

The Henderson County Foundation will focus on leveraging existing resources and creating new systems that address factors that impact the quality of life in Lexington and the Henderson County community. The chapter will work to identify organizations and funding opportunities that support individuals and families on their path to securing and sustaining a living wage career.

“It is exciting to launch a chapter of The Foundation in Henderson County,” said Joe T. Wood, Chapter Chair. “We are excited to see the impact we can make and start to change lives.”

The Henderson County Foundation is comprised of fifteen community leaders. Leadership for the chapter is Joe T. Wood as Chair, Toywana Mayo as Vice Chair, Trish Stanfill as Secretary and Melissa Gilbert as Treasurer.

“Our Board of Trustees are excited about the new chapter in Henderson County,” said Dr. Frank McMeen, President of The Foundation. “There are many opportunities for this chapter to make an impact in Lexington and the surrounding communities of Henderson County.”

Board members include Jonathan DeBerry, Talley Flowers, William C. Forney, Melissa Gilbert, Kim Hendrix, Donna Hetherington, Jeff Lewis, Toywana Mayo, Phillip Renfroe, Anna Searock, Trish Stanfill, Gary Stewart, Jim Terry, Lee Wilkinson, and Joe T. Wood.

“I am excited about serving on the board of our newly established Henderson County Foundation. The potential impact on our county can be great, and we are working toward that goal,” said Jeff Lewis, Market President of FirstBank.
