3 Ways to Get Involved on Giving Tuesday in Addition to Making a Monetary Donation
  1. Share your favorite nonprofit on social media by reposting their Giving Tuesday content or telling a story about why you support that organization.
  2. Volunteer at a local nonprofit: Schedule time on Giving Tuesday or throughout that week to volunteer at a food bank, help pick up trash in your neighborhood, or walk dogs at the animal shelter.
  3. Serve on a nonprofit board: Are you interested in investing in the success of a nonprofit? Reach out and learn about how to get involved with its board or committees.
5 Ways to Spread Generosity in West Tennessee on Giving Tuesday
  1. Visit to see how local organizations are participating in Giving Tuesday.
  2. Donate non-perishable food items to a local food bank, such as RIFA in Jackson.
  3. Gather up some clothing items, such as a winter coat or scarf, to donate to local shelters. like Tennessee Homeless Solutions or the Dream Center.
  4. Donate household and other pet items to a local animal shelter, like Jackson Animal Care Center. Examples of items needed include newspapers, cat litter, and cat/dog treats.
